Back to School, Back to Research

Schools in Sierra Leone have started for the 2021/2022 academic year and I’m back in schools and classrooms observing and engaging with students and teachers.

All the students that I worked with last year passed the National Primary School Examinations (NPSE) and the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). I had no doubt they would!

I was excited to see so many familiar faces in new school uniforms as well as meet some new students. For our English writing assignment today, I asked the students in junior secondary school (JSS1) to tell me how they spent their school break.
